Ursus maritimus tyrannus was the largest bear that has ever lived. This massive bear was even bigger than the Short-faced Bear. It stood 13 feet tall on 2 legs and weighed 1.3 tons. This size would have allowed it to take down a full-grown Woolly Mammoth.
