DNA tests prove that the Domestic Dog is the decendent of domesticated Gray Wolves. In fact, scientists consider the Domestic Dog a subspecies of Gray Wolf. As a matter of fact, the Gray Wolf doesn't deserve its villianous reputation. In fact, people have killed more wolves than the other way around. In Yellowstone, hunters wiped out every wolf from the park. Later, breeding populations, brought by Canada, were released into the park. While Gray Wolves have attacked people, those wolves most likely had rabies. Other than that, there is no recorded case of a Gray Wolf attacking a person.
