Think dolphins only live in the ocean? Think again! The Baiji, or Chinese River Dolphin, was one of the few dolphins that can live in rivers. According to Chinese legend, this dolphin was a god of the Yangtze. Scientists say that even if the Baiji is still alive, has no chance of survival because it is so rare. The Baiji could be the first dolphin to be driven to extinction because of human activity. What makes the Baiji so strange is that it was nearly blind. Instead, Baijis used ecolocation to find its way. Scientists hope the possible extinction of the Baiji is a warning about what is happening now.
