Short faced bear

Short-Faced Bear compared to a human.

Imagine a Grizzly Bear, shorten its snout, make its legs longer than the back legs, and make stand 12 feet tall and you have the Short-faced Bear, a.k.a: Arctodus simus. This bear was so enormous it ate mammoths and giant sloths. To kill these giants, Arctodus had 8 inch claws and a 1 ton bite. It had to be successful because Arctodus fossils have been found throughout North America.
